i was going to go for another 2.4 mile run this morning, but my left knee started hurting. so i went for a 1.6 mile run in 21 minutes, which is a 13:08 pace!

i just ran 2.4 miles in 35 minutes, which is a 14:35 pace. i am kind of disappointed because i want to finish the 8k in march, and i have to be able to run at least a 15:00 pace. BUT three months ago i wouldn’t have been able to run the .4 mile to the gym. so while i’m not as fast as i want to be, i think i will get there =]

gaining weight is way easier than losing weight for me.
the mexican food/pizza/egg foo young/brownies that i’m craving will not taste as good as i think it will taste, and it most likely won’t be worth the guilt, weight gain, lethargy, and bloatedness that i will feel afterwards.
slow weight loss is easier to maintain, and i am/will be thankful for that!

happy christmas yalls.
i’m in my hometown with my family right now eating yummy homecooked chinese food. i went for a jog earlier, but there’s snow blowing around, so though i intended for it to be two miles, i only went for ten minutes. at least i went, right? =] last christmas i would have laughed at the idea of going for a jog in winter.

definitely did not run today! i stepped outside all geared up to go jogging, but then the horizontal snow hit me in the face, and my feets went slipping and sliding. so i did 8 minutes on the eliptical and then 15 minutes on the treadmill walking on an incline.
i’m counting my time on the eliptical, the treadmill, and the walk to and from the gym as 2 miles!

h - mm brown rice!
i successfully made and ate brown rice for the first time (i think) tonight. i remember making it once a coupla years ago, but that it had came out way too dry.
it’s definitely not as fluffy as white rice, but it’s supposed to be nutritionally superior. and i kind of like that it’s chewy. i feel as though i’m eating more than i really am!
